New York Career and Disability Services Community of Practice

Overview

The purpose of the New York Career and Disability Services Community of Practice (COP) is to improve collaboration between disability and career services offices on New York college campuses toward improved career development opportunities for their students with disabilities. The New York COP works in partnerships with the Career Opportunities for Students with Disabilities program at the University of Tennessee, and is facilitated by the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University under funding by the New York State Medicaid Infrastructure Grant.

Funding

New York Makes Work Pay (NYMWP) is a Comprehensive Employment System Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (#1QACMS030318) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to the Office of Mental Health (OMH) on behalf of New York State. It is a joint effort of the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University (BBI) and the Employment and Disability Institute at Cornell University (EDI) with the collaborative support of the Employment Committee of the New York State Most Integrated Setting Coordinating Council (MISCC).
