Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility (CCAM)

Project Overview

The Burton Blatt Institute serves as a content partner for the Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility–Technical Assistance Center (CCAM-TAC). BBI is a member of the advisory group, bringing an understanding of the importance of transportation for people with disabilities to the CCAM-TAC.

Goals and Objectives

  • Serve as a member of the advisory group to bring an understanding of the importance of transportation for people with disabilities to the Center.
  • In coordination with the Center’s research partner, identify gaps and needs in programs where transportation (or the lack thereof) impacts program success.
  • Make connections between the Center and regional/local projects that could be highlighted as promising practices or serve as candidates for issue-focused meetings.
  • Serve on the grant selection committee for the Center.
  • Facilitate speakers for Center conferences and identify conference opportunities for Center staff, grantees, and Content Partners.
  • Recommend topic areas for the Center’s technical assistance products.
  • Author and review publications as appropriate.
