William N. Myhill Brings Extensive Experience to New ADA Leadership Role

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Andrew Gordon has announced the appointment of William N. Myhill, M.Ed., J.D. as the University’s new interim Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator.

“We are fortunate to have someone like William Myhill at Syracuse University, standing ready to take on this new leadership role,” says Gordon. “He has extensive experience in the disability field, unique skills and exquisite sensitivity to the issues involved. His depth of understanding in the fields of assistive technology and accessible electronic and information technology will be a tremendous asset to us in this new role.” Continue Reading

BBI Welcomes Dr. Ynesse Abdul-Malak As Senior Research Fellow

Ynesse Abdul Malak

Dr. Ynesse Abdul-Malak was born in Haiti and immigrated to the United States at the age of thirteen. Dr. Abdul-Malak overcame overwhelming obstacles to become a first-generation college graduate. She obtained an AAS degree in nursing and practiced as a nurse in Staten Island, NY; therein after moving to Lebanon with her husband and family, Dr. Abdul-Malak obtained a BS in Environmental Health and a Master’s degree in Public Health at the American University of Beirut. She then moved to Syracuse and worked as a research scientist at Upstate Medical University. She then enrolled at Syracuse University and obtained a Master’s and PhD in Sociology. Continue Reading
