scpaolil@syr.eduStephen Paolillo is a Research Associate at BBI, working on the Psychiatric Advanced Directives (PADs) and Disability Employment Policy Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (DEP RRTC) projects. He is an applied microeconomist in the field of public economics. Beyond disability policy research, Stephen’s research includes work on the economics of crime and illegal markets, while also touching on the intersection of the criminal justice system and healthcare policy.
Stephen received a PhD in economics from the University of California, Davis in 2025, a masters in economics from the University of California, Davis in 2020, and a B.A. in economics from Middlebury College in 2015.
