We are pleased to announce that the Southeast ADA Center, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University, and the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University will partner to conduct a comprehensive accessibility assessment at the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve in Johns Creek, Georgia. This project will address clear signage, plain-language educational tools, and staff training to eliminate the barriers faced by park guests who have disabilities.

Project PINE is funded by a 2026 Driving Mobility and Accessibility on Public Lands Grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) with financial support from Toyota Motor North America. The 2026 Driving Mobility and Accessibility on Public Lands Grant provides funding to select organizations to increase physical and digital access, provide adaptive recreation equipment or programming, or conduct accessibility assessments on public lands located near Toyota Motor North America Facilities.
The Southeast ADA Center is honored to conduct this work in collaboration with the Center for Leadership in Disability to ensure all visitors with disabilities can equally enjoy the beauty of Autrey Mill Nature Preserve.
