The Southeast ADA Center publishes a list of factual and authoritative resources to help the public understand the Coronavirus

COVID-19, or the Coronavirus, has been the subject of intense media attention for the past several weeks. Along with that attention comes the possibility of misinformation that results in unease and panic. The Southeast ADA Center, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University, has put together a list of factual and authoritative resources to help the public understand the Coronavirus. It includes information about how the virus is spread and what you can do to prevent infection.

The Coronavirus Resource List and Recursos en español is available on the Southeast ADA Center website. The resources are based on up-to-date information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and public health departments in the U.S. Southeast region.  Resources for employers and transportation updates are also included.

As with any infectious disease, information about the Coronavirus is constantly changing. The resource list will be updated as new information is released. The page is provided as an informational resource and is not intended to give medical or legal advice. Please contact healthcare or legal experts for more information.

Common-sense practices can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses such as the common cold and flu. Washing your hands often and covering your cough or sneeze will go a long way in keeping you and your family well. Avoid contact with people who are sick. Use alcohol based disinfectants for cleaning. Finally, if you are ill, stay home from work or community activities. Good health practices can reduce all illnesses.
