Nicole LaCorte-Klein ,M.A., CRC,
Senior Program Development Associate

Nicole LaCorte-Klein is one of two project coordinators assisting with the implementation of the “NY Makes Work Pay” Medicaid Infrastructure Grant. She is part of the BBI-Cornell team responsible for the development and execution of the project workplan, and coordinates downstate New York project activities.

Nicole graduated with her Masters’ Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University. Prior to joining the Burton Blatt Institute, Nicole worked for six years as the Assistant Director/Trainer for the Career Connection Employment Resource Institute, a program of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. Nicole was a Program Officer for the Corporation for Supportive Housing, coordinating the New York State Social Security demonstration research project “New York Works” that researched effective practices for improving employment outcomes and use of Social security work incentives for people with psychiatric disabilities .

Nicole is an experienced trainer and program development technical assistance expert with specific expertise in employment for people with mental illnesses, co-occurring mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders and those who are homeless. Nicole was also the Director of Vocational and Educational Services for the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter.
