Robert E. Myers III, MPA, MA-IR
Senior Research Associate

Robert Myers is the Senior Research Associate at the Burton Blatt Institute (BBI). His primary research interests are in the areas of education reforms, program monitoring and evaluation, financial inclusion and livelihoods development. He holds an undergraduate degree from Temple University in Psychology as well as two graduate degrees from the Maxwell School Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University in Public Administration (MPA) and International Relations (MA-IR). Presently, he is working on completing his PhD. He has experience in domestic and international government including Department of State, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, as well as transnational NGOs and Multilateral and Bilateral international organizations. Furthermore, he has examined and worked on disability worldwide, including South Asia, the Middle East and South America.

Professionally, Myers has developed diverse organizations including most recently within a non-profit with a total budget of over 70 million dollars. He laid the foundation for an innovative regional autism center of excellence. He has developed programs supported by both the state and federal departments of health, mental health, education, developmental disabilities, local school districts, numerous foundations, state senators and the US Congress.

While working for a center in connection to UCLA, Myers provided consultations across the East Coast and Midwest to school districts and families on issues related to individuals diagnosed with autism. Myers participated in the development of the training protocol that is the International benchmark for early autism education.
