
Janikke Solstad Vedeler, is a visiting junior scholar from the Norwegian Social Research in Norway, where she is a Research Associate. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Sociology, University of Oslo, conducting a qualitative cross-national study on entry into mainstream employment among young adults with disabilities. Vedeler was born and raised in Norway. She completed her Master of Science degree in Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo in 2003 and has since worked at the Norwegian Social Research. Vedeler’s areas of specialty include migration, sexual abuse, prostitution, employment and disability; with her disability study specialization being young adults and employment.
