Janice Herzog
Director of External Relations
As director of external relations, Janice Herzog serves as a liaison to the BBI Board of Advisors. Herzog works closely with the board to facilitate effective and timely communications, manage board operations and engagement, and follow up on board initiatives.
Before joining BBI, Herzog worked for more than 20 years at Syracuse University College of Law. During that time, she was a member of the dean’s senior staff and served as assistant dean for administration and external relations as well as director of external relations. In addition to working closely with the College of Law’s board and executive committee, she has extensive experience in law school administrative operations and human resources management operations.
She also worked in collaboration with the Office of Advancement in the areas of prospect management and engagement, donor and alumni relations, and fundraising. She has been a panel facilitator as well as speaker for the American Bar Association and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) on topics related to board management and transformation and the board member’s role in fundraising
