Description

Creating an Inclusive Culture within the workplace is a collaborative effort. When a climate of respect, equity and positive recognition of differences for all employees is cultivated, true diversity can be achieved. In sum, the development of an inclusive workplace culture represents a win-win scenario for workers with and without disabilities, and for employers.

This webinar will define what an Inclusive Culture is, its core values of Representation, Receptivity and Fairness; and the three elements integral to its creation. The panel will explore the impact that Universal Design; Recruitment, Training and Advancement opportunities; and Workplace Accommodations and Accessibility policies and practices have in successfully integrating the workplace for all people. The impact of management on the inclusion of employees with disabilities and the benefits of an inclusive workplace culture will also be discussed. Panelists will welcome questions from webinar attendees during the presentation.

An Inclusive Culture Checklist and Job Satisfaction Survey are two tools that employers and interested participants can utilize to assess their own workplace and measure how inclusive their culture already is.
