Blanck to Speak at Saks Institute Event, “The Architect of Her Life: Elyn’s Story.”

BBI Chairman and University Professor, Dr. Peter Blanck, will be a featured speaker at the Saks Institute for Mental Health Law, Policy, and Ethics at the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law.

The event, entitled “The Architect of Her Life: Elyn’s Story,” will take place on November 17 and will discuss Supported Decision-Making (SDM) as a way to give people with mental illness a voice in their care. Elyn Saks, USC Gould Professor and Founder of the Saks Institute, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Blanck and Keris Myrick (Director of Consumer Affairs, Center for Mental Health Services, SAMHSA) will follow as featured speakers. The event will be moderated by Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez.
