An article co-authored by Katherine McDonald, assistant professor of public health and Burton Blatt Institute faculty fellow, was recently published in the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research. The article, “You need to let your voice be heard; research participants’ views on research,” explores the reality that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities have had limited opportunities to voice their opinions on participating in research. Understanding and responding to these views can contribute very significantly to important policies and practices.
