Dr. Arie Rimmerman, Ph.D./DSW, is Richard Crossman Professor of Social Welfare and Planning at School of Social Work, University of Haifa, Israel and a Board Member of the National Institute for People with Disabilities in the United States. The Southeast DBTAC, an Atlanta-based BBI project, met with Dr. Rimmerman to discuss his disability-related research pertinent to the employment of people with disabilities. In an effort to learn from each other, Dr. Rimmerman’s presentation to the Southeast DBTAC’s research team and it’s Affiliate Leadership Council provides insight about common barriers to employment of people with disabilities in Israel and the U.S.
