TaxFACTS+ Campaign Event
October 24, 2006 - National Press Club
The National Disability Institute, NCB Capital Impact (formerly known as
NCB Development Corporation), the IRS Stakeholder Partnerships, Education
and Communication (SPEC) Division, and other national collaborators are celebrating the accomplishments of the TaxFacts+ Campaign to expand free tax filing assistance and other asset building activities for low-income working Americans and their families with disabilities.
The Real Economic Impact Tour kickoff will be held on Tuesday, October 24,
2006 from 2pm to 4pm at the National Press Club, which is located at 529 14th Street, NW, 13th floor, Washington, DC 20045.
Participants will learn about:
- the success of the 2006 tax filing season in 30 cities;
- the Ford Foundation supported research that profiles the tax and
financial service options of workers with disabilities;
- this year’s expansion to 54 cities and the Real Economic Impact Tour
with its first stop a Mayor’s Summit in New York City; and
- how this initiative may provide valuable information and assistance
to the customers and families you serve with disabilities.
