She assisted in facilitating a workshop at the Agua para todos conference in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico in October 2016, workshops co‐sponsored by Sarar Capacitacion,A.C. and La Jugarreta, A.C., and was an assistant editor for the Spanish translation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 6.

When Emily was not working for Sarar Transfomación, she spent time accompanying the sponsored children's programs of La Jugarreta, A.C. which is a non‐governmental organization founded upon the UN Rights of the Child that provides after school programs, math and English tutoring programs, and an annual Festival del Juego for all kids and kids‐at‐heart in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico.
