A Letter from Kathy O’Connel ~ 09/26/14

Hello Family, Friends, & Colleagues,

In my 17 years of counseling, I have seen a lot of heartbreak and broken spirits by the hardship of living with a disability, and by being seen as “different.”

I want more empowerment and joy for people living with disabilities.

I have been incredibly blessed with this in my own life, mostly because of my relationships with each one of you.

Beginning this Fall, I will be transitioning my company, Radiant Abilities, to focus on my passion of helping people live fully and happily with their disability. Due to limited resources, I have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help raise the initial start up funds for my new business.

Contributions to the Fully Living with a Disability campaign will be for the production and marketing of the FREE videos offered to people.

I am reaching out to each of you to join the Fully Living with a Disability campaign.

I am asking you to consider donating $25 (incentives begin at this level) or more and to help spread the word by sharing this link with your network.

Contributions can be made through October 25, 2014.

I am developing a new online business, designed to offer downloadable videos for purchase to three separate audiences - people with disabilities, family members of people with disabilities, and the professionals who work with them. These videos are intended to give people the tools and strategies for:

  • problem solving  the challenges a disability presents
  • working through the issues that keep people from living in their power
  • and offering encouragement for living one's dreams

The videos are intended to provide information and inspiration for people to step more into their power, embrace their disability, and feel empowered to go out and live the life they want, pursuing dreams and even taking risks. The videos are all being professionally produced for a polished look. I also have a team of consultants who are helping me put this project together and market it.

I want to take my message to a new level about uplifting people who feel devalued by their disability and that they have no choices. Life is just too short to let a disability get the best of you.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to read this email and consider my request. It means a great deal to me. A heartfelt thank you.

With gratitude,
